A high stated concentration of the measured polyphenol fraction, assuming the assay basis and specification are clearly defined.
40% Total Tannins
A different specification focused on the tannin fraction. It cannot be treated as equivalent to 40% polyphenols.

A completely different analytical proposition and not automatically interchangeable with a broad polyphenol specification.
